Man risks his life to save his dog: “He’s the only thing I have left in my life.”

LIFE STORIES

This is Mitchell, who recently lost his wife, house and money, but he still has his faithful dog Hero, who almost froze to death in the street.

Last December, after 27 years of marriage, Mitchell lost his wife to cancer. The disease consumed all his money, and he spent the last of his savings on her funeral.

A few days later he had to leave his apartment because he could not pay the rent: at 57, he was already homeless.

So he and the dog spent many days, huddled under blankets, spinning the engine in the car every hour to keep a little warm.

Mitchell even considered giving his dog to a shelter to keep him safe. But he did not want to give up the only thing he had left in life, he was his family.

So he decided to seek help from a nearby church, which offered him a hotel room so they could spend that week together.

Mitchell and the dog Hero warmed up, but the man soon realized that something was wrong and he was rushed to the hospital.

From there, he was transferred to the burn unit of another hospital because he had frostbite on his legs. But all this time he thought only of his dog and left the hospital with a voluntary discharge to take care of him.

Mitchell began treatment for frostbite, and soon people who heard his story decided they had to do something about him. If it was interesting, please share it with your friends and family !
