A penguin swims 8,000 km a year to visit the man who saved his life

ART and NATURE

This little penguin swam 8,000 km a year to visit the man who saved his life.

This is a true story of human kindness and animal gratitude, which is very rare now. It seems unlikely that what happened could be true, but it is indeed real.

In 2011, João Pereira, a grandfather from Brazil, helped a little penguin stuck in a crevice in a coastal cliff. The body of the penguin was completely covered in fat and had almost no feathers.

The man helped free his new friend, whom he named Tintin. Joao took care of this unusual bird and fed it until he was full and felt good.

When the penguin no longer needed his help, he released him back into the sea, not thinking that he would see Tintin again.

But it so happened that a few months later the penguin appeared there again and recognized his friend.

Since then, Tintin lives near Pereira 8 months a year and goes to Chile for 4 months to breed. To do this, he swims more than 8,000 kilometers a year. This news will definitely surprise and touch everyone!
