With twin girls inside, a suicidal father drove off a cliff, but due to this hero, all of them survived

LIFE STORIES

Jonathan, a police officer in San Diego, received information about a suicidal individual who could have a weapon.

The father is alleged to have taken his 2-year-old twin kids that morning without the permission of their mother.

Then, the mother of the youngsters began receiving calls and texts that hinted at the horrifying potential that she would not see her daughters again.

While they looked for him, police were concerned that the dad could try to drive his car off the Coronado Bridge.

Dispatchers discovered the 47-year-old man’s phone close to the Sunset Cliffs after he plunged his car down a 50-foot cliff and into the lake.

His twin children were sitting on his lap while all of this was going on. Everyone was driving without their seatbelts on.

K-9 handler No despite how hazardous the circumstance, Officer Wiese was convinced that the fam would be saved.

The officer understood that leaping over the cliff was just too dangerous, and he would have to seek alternative routes to the river.

The fact that all 3 crash survivors survived at the end of the day seems impossible, which is why San Diego’s police chief calls Officer’s actions that day “probably the most astounding thing I’ve seen in my 32 years.”
