Oakley lingered at a crossroads in a remote section of Oklahoma, maybe expecting that a speeding vehicle would see him.

Matlock became disturbed when she saw how the doggie was faring.
He was in really bad shape, which crushed my soul, stated Matlock.
Oakley was the initial of the 3 to be rescued. The other two were found quickly and were placed in foster families where they could heal.
She returned her to her home and then instantly relaxed. He rapidly shown his kind nature.
Oakley’s immediate display of devotion moved Matlock, but he was also furious that somebody had deserted him.
Matlock praised the puppy, calling him “such a nice, smart doggie who likes to please people.”
That someone could be so vicious infuriated me.

She called Safe Haven Animal Rescue and they graciously agreed to cover Oakley’s medical costs while she adopted him.

In a matter of few months, his eye and skin problems have drastically improved.
He was still having fun in foster care, especially at lunch and supper, but it was essential for him to seek a permanent home.

They understood that they had to meet him. The fam contacted her and scheduled a meeting.
They realized right away that Oakley was the doggie they were looking for.
They traveled from Minnesota to fetch him up, according to Matlock. Since then, “he’s been a fantastic fit.”
