One afternoon, the couple Ronaldo and Rosalia were once walking along the coast of Colombia on one clear day.
Suddenly they heard a strange sound, very similar to crying. After low tide, a small, poor sloth got stuck among two small stones and could not get out of there.
He cried very loudly and people to help. He was lucky that there were still people near this place. Otherwise, he would have died there. The couple was afraid for the baby that he might suffer during a strong tide, and immediately rushed to help.
When they got closer to him, the couple saw that he was covered in salt water, and sand was stuck in his eyes.
The kid started screaming louder when he saw people and got scared. But they immediately rushed to pull him out of these stones.
After they looked around and made sure there were no adult sloths nearby, they found a small box, put the baby in it after the rescue, and took it home.
They immediately began to act. Ronaldo carefully took him out, wrapped him in a soft towel, put him in a box, and together they went home. And his wife washed off the salt water and washed the eyes of the animal from the sand.
The couple wanted to feed the baby, but did not know what sloths eat. After he rested a little, they began to look for a place where they could take care of him.
Not far from the house where the couple lived, there was an animal shelter. So they took the child there and told the whole story of his salvation. Thanks to the kindness and responsiveness of this married couple, this story ended well for everyone.
