Tennessee Charter School instructor Sandra Eliot loved her job and had a Ph.D. She and her husband could not have children, so she decided to choose such a profession in order to be closer to the children.
She had a very sweet and kind nature, everyone loved her, she was the favorite teacher of the students. She helped everyone and sometimes even took an interest in their personal lives in order to understand how she could help them.
But one day she was walking past her class when she suddenly noticed that one of her students was looking out the window for a long time, and his lunch box was standing nearby.
She immediately guessed that something was wrong with him, and was about to ask him, when suddenly the director of the school called her. Sandra thought about it all the time and the next day she decided to ask him what happened to him, but he was not in class at the time.
From the window, she saw the boy walking home with a package in his hand. She followed him and saw that the boy began to rummage through the garbage cans, scooping out some leftover food.
The boy saw her and ran and she did not have time to follow him. She returned to school and decided to leave it and talk to him the next day. But the next day he wasn’t in class either.
He was nowhere to be found, not even by the trash can where she’d seen him the day before. Suddenly she noticed him with the same bag in his hand. She was sure that he was hiding something serious, and wrote to the director that she would not be in class.
Christmas was close, and with it the holidays, so that she could not take any other holidays except for health reasons, there could be no other reason for this. So she lied and said she was sick. She took a taxi and followed the boy.
She asked the taxi driver to slow down and follow the boy, who was walking with a bag in his hand and collecting leftover food from the trash can. She didn’t know why he did it. Suddenly, the boy entered an alleyway and she had to get out of the car and follow him on foot.
He stopped in front of some old house, and Sandra watched him. The boy left his bag and lunchbox at home and opened the door, from which a boy and a girl came out. The girl was older and the boy was about 5 years old.
Sandra saw that a woman came out to them. She had disheveled hair and a stern expression. It was obvious that the children were very afraid of her.
She started yelling at them and saying she wouldn’t let them leave the house and said they were just as useless as their father. She yelled at them, grabbing their ears and twisting them.
The poor children were crying, and the girl said that she was in great pain. Sandra could no longer look at all this, she stood up and approached her and the smell of alcohol immediately hit her nose.
She became very angry and said that the children were in pain. And the woman replied that she had no one to integrate into their business, they are her children! The children escaped from their mother’s arms and ran to Sandra. And the little girl asked Sandra not to leave them with her, and Sandra assured them that everything would be fine.
She immediately sent her husband the address of the house and asked him to come there, her husband was a police officer in Tennessee. A few minutes passed and they came and rescued the children, and the woman was arrested for child abuse.
Alcohol and many empty bottles were found in her house. And Sandra and James took the children to the police station, and then they took them home. Sandra bathed them, fed them and clothed them. The couple decided they wanted to adopt the three of them and give them a chance at a wonderful life.
It was a gift from God for them, they could not give birth to their children. And their mother soon lost parental rights.
It turns out that the boy had been running away with leftovers every day during his lunch break all this time and did not tell anyone out of fear.
Christmas came, they all cooked a lot of delicious things together and spent the holidays together, ate delicious dishes and cakes, it was the best Christmas in the lives of children! They all told each other different stories and laughed a lot, their life became brighter and happier!
