A distraught mother describes how her 8-year-old kid is the only member in his class who hasn’t received a birthday invitation on the Reddit site.
A lady posted about her anguish on Reddit yesterday. She describes how her 8-year-old kid is the lone youngster who hasn’t received an invitation to a birthday celebration in a devastating post.
She posted on the site, “My eight-year-old child came home crying last night because his friend distributed invitation cards to every child in the class,” with other details.
What’s wrong? No one invited her child to the celebration. “My son finds it difficult to fit in.”
The mother of the family claims in her message that when left alone, her kid and the other young child get along nicely.
However, the concerned classmate can behave cruelly towards him in front of the other students.
“I have no issue with M (the boy’s nickname, editor’s note) not inviting my son.
He may invite whoever he wants because it’s his party, the mother argues.
Before continuing, “But it seems needlessly harsh that M intentionally isolates my kid, and just my son, in front of his peers.
Already, my son is having trouble making friends and fitting in.
Since M has made it apparent to the other students that my son must be rejected and excluded from the school, the author of the message is worried that the issue will only grow worse.
“I am afraid that it will become even more difficult for him now that M has made it clear to the other students that my son must be rejected and excluded from the school,” the message’s author writes.
Since then, she has debated asking the school’s principal to explain his stance on “party invitations” in person. Unsurprisingly, his account immediately gained popularity.
In fact, the post received over 500 comments in only two days.
“If I found out my baby boy had excluded someone, I would cancel his party ,” said one of the replies.
