Foster mother brings her children to Walmart, approaches the cashier, and apologizes for not being able to pay

In 2017, Nick was employed at Walmart in Newcastle, as a cashier.

The guy was regarded as one of the most amiable and chatty employees there, frequently asking clients about their days and demonstrating empathy for those around him.

On a busy Friday evening, he was working his late shift when a foster mom and her two young daughters and a baby passed via his line.

The mother was struggling to handle the two children as they were becoming unruly.

The queue behind her, meantime, became steadily longer. She sensed the judgment and glare of strangers.

But when she suddenly found herself in front of him, he only gave her a blank stare before asking, “One of those days?”

As though she had done anything wrong, the foster mother instantly pleaded.

She then produced a WIC card, which is a form of financial aid for families with young children who are on a low budget.

She told him, “I haven’t used WIC before. I’m uncertain of the outcome.

She didn’t want to continue to snarl up traffic by standing in line.

He discovered the woman’s card wasn’t working after repeatedly running it.

But when Nick said or did anything that caused the woman to start crying and try to absorb what had happened, she went on Facebook to share her story with the world.
