A very touching reunion: a small dog went missing during the holidays, and the family did not find it until 10 months later

When one day the Batista family went on vacation to the sea, leaving a dog at home was out of the question. A two-year-old Boston Terrier named Fisher was a real member of the family, and, of course, he had to go to the beach with everyone.

Unfortunately, Fischer disappeared during the holidays. It only took 1 minute of recklessness for the dog to get lost. The next day, his owners printed hundreds of flyers with Fischer’s photo. They even bought a billboard space over the freeway to put up their warning sign.

They drove along the roads of Ocean City, hoping to meet their tired little black and white dog somewhere. But Fischer seemed to have simply vanished into thin air.

The vacation was over, it was time to head back to New York, but the Battistas weren’t ready to give up and leave their family member alone hundreds of miles from home. The owners of the missing dog did not even think about stopping the search.

They created a page about Fisher’s disappearance and started fundraising because their own money was no longer enough. They even turned to a psychic who claimed he could communicate with dogs from a distance. But all to no avail.

Firefighters, police, rescuers knew about the disappearance of the dog. Battista even hired a professional dog handler to help with the search.

They put up these signs on the beaches and patrolled the city several times a day by car, on foot and by bike. They placed ads about the disappearance of the dog in all local newspapers and news websites. But no one saw the little black and white dog.

But they were not going to give up, and their perseverance won out. Nearly 10 months after Fisher disappeared, three hours from where he disappeared, the guy was fixing his motorcycle on the side of the highway.

Suddenly he noticed a small stray dog. He recognized him immediately and called Fischer, he gave him some water and took a picture of him and posted it on social media.

Fisher’s owner immediately said it was him. The search was over, they scanned the dog’s microchip and found out it was indeed Fisher! The meeting was very touching and magical. Happiness was boundless for both Fischer and his owners.

When the 10-month search finally came to fruition, Fisher’s owners realized they had to thank everyone who helped them. And it seemed to them that this was the best way to continue to support the Fischer page. They renamed the page “Find Fisher’s Friends” and continue to raise money for other dogs.

All profits are given to other owners whose animals go missing to fund searches, flyers, billboards and other search expenses. Don’t forget to have your pets microchipped – it’s the only way to identify yourself anywhere in the world.
