An elderly cat that has lived on the streets for the most of his life devotes his remaining years to aiding orphaned kitties in need

Before Emily adopted him, Runt, a tabby kitten, had spent his whole existence as a stray.

When Runt was discovered, he was in a bad state. He also had a lung illness, many sores on his cheeks and ears, and was underweight.

When he was sent to the Lake County Animal Sanctuary, a neighborhood no-kill sanctuary in Tavares, his body was in very horrible shape.

Furthermore, he is a more senior cat; he is said to be approximately 14 years old.

He was treated at the shelter for a number of weeks after his arrival until he was in a stable enough condition to be placed in a foster home.

That’s when Blythe made the decision to permanently adopt him along with her other animals.

He appeared to appreciate the new environment and fit in well with the other senior cats, Blythe said in a recent interview with Love Meow.

Runt slept as it had been his house all along the first evening since he was so at ease.

She couldn’t part with him since it was clear that he belonged in the home.

He  had a house of his own for the first time in his life.

He is a laid-back cat that gets along with all the household animals, even the pups and babies.

He took it upon himself to care after a foster cat that she once brought home.

The fostering kittie survived, contrary to Blythe’s initial predictions, due to him.

Dolly and Reece, 2 abandoned kitties, were taken home by Blythe in April.

Runt intervened to act as a father for the 2 since Dolly was uneasy and shy.

For attention right now, she runs to him. Runt now takes on the role of a dad to them whenever an abandoned kitten is brought to their home.

He cares for them and treats them with love, as though his life’s work is to improve the lives of all the other rescued animals.

Runt resides alongside Sassy, Pixie, and Petunia at Blythe’s home.

Despite having face injuries when she came at the rescue, Petunia is a kind and loving cat.

She was shot in the head when she was a kittie in the past. She is now healthy, adored, and content.

She now frequently shares pictures of her dogs on social media in an effort to highlight how great creatures are. Visit her Instagram page.
