Stacey first found it amusing when her 3-year-old daughter abruptly got up on the toilet as if she were engaged in some sort of game.
However, things took an unexpected turn when the Michigan mother overheard her daughter’s justification for what she was doing.
According to Stacey, her daughter was performing a lockdown exercise at school.
She and her classmates learned how to hide from an intruder by standing on the toilet.
Days after the Pulse Nightclub tragedy in Orlando, Stacey uploaded the picture on her Facebook page.
Her picture received tens of thousands of shares and immediately became popular.
This is because it’s too easy to envision innocent kids having to go through such a dreadful nightmare after seeing the disturbing picture.
The already contentious discussion on gun control has heated up even further.

The rubber straps yanked at the hair horribly. The drills of getting to the basement and being aware of the location of the fallout shelter.

The reason this young child chose to stand on the toilet stunned her distraught mother.
She is now urging policymakers to look more closely at the restrictions put on weapons in the US.
She told KPHO, “I wish for them to understand that this is my kid… and future generations.”
“They are moulding and creating the society in which they will grow up.
As politicians, they are solely responsible for this. I find it difficult to believe that they approve of this image.”
