The 12-year-old puppy’s owners started to fear about him after Louie went missing for several hours since they had no idea where he may be.
The fam was shocked, however, when he returned with a sentimental note around his neck.
Since he was a young puppy, the intelligent sheepdog Louie has resided on the New Zealand property owned by Marolyn Driver’s parents.
He was a happy, energetic puppy full of curiosity when he was just a few weeks old.
He enjoyed exploring their land and the surrounding areas.
But as he got older, his usual schedule altered, and he began to hang around near their house.
It was for this reason that Louie’s parents became worried when he vanished for a few hours one day.
Marolyn went to see her parents on that particular day, and when she did, she discovered them distraught.
The dog did, however, joyfully, come home after a while, wearing an odd message around his neck.
Louie appeared dingy and worn out. The man’s relatives feared for his safety. The handwritten note, though, caused them to become more composed.
The letter came from Rob, who described Louis as his hero for guiding him to his doggie Maddy, who was buried behind a mass of branches.
The family’s next-door neighbor, Rob, owned a doggie named Maddy and was a farmer.
They quickly discovered what had transpired. Maddy was also absent on that day. Rob, her owner, began searching wherever she may be.
But the search turned up nothing. He ran into Louie on the way home, who suggested he accompany him.
He followed Louie because he trusted his instincts, and to his surprise, he discovered his lost puppy trapped in bushes.
In order to assist Rob in recovering his pal, Louie began to dig.
Maddy was kept alive because of this heroic dog. The two worn-out pups hurriedly ran to the neighboring pond, leaped in, and immediately began to drink.
Louie hesitated even to eat that day since he was so exhausted.
The next day, the fam worried about his condition, but when he spotted his companion in a carrier on the back of his owner’s bicycle, he miraculously healed and began to play with his buddy Maddy.
