In October 2021, Nika Todua and Irina Liklikadze from Georgia were walking along a busy street when they suddenly noticed a small animal on the sidewalk.
As they got closer, they saw that it was a helpless little puppy. The little puppy, who looked no more than a month old, could not move from the word at all and was very weak.
But when Nika and Irina, volunteers from the Animal Friends dog rescue service, touched him, he moved his little legs.
Nika said it was shocking to them because she was so weak. She was hungry, she had a lot of worms, but she was very obedient and sweet.
According to Nika, the rescuers picked up the puppy. The poor dog was too small and young to be left alone, so they hoped to find the owner’s puppy, but after talking to the locals, they learned about the puppy’s sad story.
Nick was told that this little puppy’s mother had been hit by a car, but no one knew what had happened to his siblings.
They took the puppy to their home, began treatment for malnutrition and parasites, and tried to accustom him to food. She only weighed half a pound at the time, so she desperately needed to put on some weight.
They named her Alien because they thought the puppy looked more like an Alien than a puppy. But every day the puppy became stronger and healthier and began to become like a puppy.
And after 9 months, Alien has increased by about 4 times in height and weight, and now she lives a completely different life than when she was first found.
Nika says that the puppy has now found a family and lives with one of the employees of the organization. The dog loves to play, walk and eat cucumber and pumpkin. He became a very happy puppy!
These women very often help and feed many homeless animals, and there are a lot of such stories in their lives.
But still, Nika says that this story remains forever in her memory and this is one of the few that touched her heart very much.
She also said that for her the most inspiring and emotional moment was when their rescued small and helpless puppy turned into the happiest and most cheerful dog!
