During a heavy snowstorm in the US state of Minnesota, a dog gave birth to puppies in the forest.

The young mother found herself in a very difficult position.

The dog dug a small hole in the snow and hid there with his little puppies. The hungry dog quickly ran out of milk, but was not ready to leave her puppies.

Rescue came on time, people noticed the dog and its offspring. Caring residents of the state took them to a local shelter. There, the puppies and their mother warmed up and rehabilitated.

The adult dog was named Snowball after the tragic time in which she was discovered. The dog quickly adapted to the new living conditions and was even able to gain a few kilograms.

Veterinarians think that the puppies are at least three weeks old. Probably, all this time they were lying with Snowball in the snow.

In just 6 weeks, the shelter staff managed to find new homes for four puppies. Snowball herself and two more kids are still waiting for their owners. But, apparently, the wait will be short-lived. Many users have admired the story of this sweet and selfless dog.

Thank you good people!
