Rich DiFronzo, nicknamed Fonzi, is now the “Angel of the Highway”. This is what is written on the sticker offered to him by his employer and the carrier association TCA on the occasion of a small ceremony organized in his honor.
This trucker works for a trucking company located in northeastern Pennsylvania.
A few months earlier, he had made a delivery for which he had traveled through New Jersey. It was in the rest area that this man made the sad discovery of an extremely thin dog that was tied to a tree.
He said that he had been there for a while and kept asking people if they knew this dog, because no one approached the poor animal.
People inside said someone was trying to sell her and they didn’t know she was tied to a tree. He decided to just cut off the dog’s leash and took her home.
For 3 months, Rich and his wife took care of the animal. The dog gradually began to gain its normal weight, regained health and learned to trust people again.
That’s not all, the couple found a loving family for this dog, who now answers to the name Roxy-Lynn. In fact, the cute dog was adopted by a friend of Rich’s, and now the two of them lead a happy life in Kentucky.
Despite the fact that Roxy-Lynn is no longer with them, they will forever keep the memory of her. His new sticker, which is visible on his truck, should remind him of this.
