The amazing 53-year love story of this couple is heavily influenced by their love letters.
Finding somebody who would make a lifelong commitment to you is uncommon.
If real love occurs, it is also correct that not everybody perceives it.
Some individuals, though, happen to run across the person they were intended to be with always, and some of them even find their real love while still in their teens!
Actress Ina is one of these fortunate few.
The Barefoot Contessa actress is wedded to her longtime partner Jeffrey, and the two of them are an inspiration to others because of their long-lasting love.
When the performer was just 15, she first met him, who is now 71.
When she firstly saw him, who was enrolled at the same school as her bro, it was 1963 and she was seeing her brother at Dartmouth College.
She said that after seeing her on the road, he sent her a note and put a photo of himself in the mail.
As if it were yesterday, Ina recalls receiving his letter.
The actress remembers how she felt when she first read her prospective partner’s message.
She said, “Mom, Mom, you have to see this image of this boy.” He is adorable!
They began dating following that, and five years later they got married. 1968 was the relevant year.
Jeff had to go to Thailand for his military deployment a year after they were married.
At that time, the couple’s only option was to communicate by letter writing.
They had to spend time apart while their relationship was still new, but they managed to overcome it.
Every day, according to Jeff, he supposedly wrote to his spouse. All of his thoughts were focused on her.
Once a year could the pair speak on the phone, and even then, it was not long enough to communicate everything they wanted to.
They established a means of communication—letters—and it was a crucial aspect of their love story how they were able to do it.
The 2 of them were always seeking for ways to share common interests when he returned.
They went on dates and even turned Paris like a second home for themselves.
Every year on their anniversaries, they would travel to the town.
Jeff, a lecturer at the Yale School of Management, used to travel to Connecticut each day to lecture there.
While working from their East Hampton, New York, residence, Ina was the opposite.
Only on saturdays did they meet up. The couple followed the same schedule for the following 40 years, and each time, Jeff would write Ina a heartfelt love note, brightening her day.
The pair had the chance to reside together and in their house when the epidemic started.
Even though they were spending each day together and enjoying it, Jeff continued to write his loving wife letters.
It was something that intensified their affection and elevated their tale to the status of “couple aspirations.”
What a charming love tale, no? After 53 years of marriage, too! This is merely awesome, so much love and care.
