This mother in Ontario, Canada thought of an original approach to discipline her two boys after they misbehaved on the bus.

However, opinions regarding social media varied.

A mother in a tiny Canadian town  received a letter from her kids’ school in 2018 concerning how they were behaved.

It wasn’t about how they behaved in class; it was about how they behaved on the school bus.

The school informed her that her kids had been behaving poorly on the bus.

Even worse, they had both been nasty to the bus driver.

The mother found it incomprehensible that her children would behave that way.

She urged them to cease being impolite and to understand that it is never acceptable.

She wanted to be sure they understood what would occur if they persisted in their current behavior.

The household was located around 7 kilometers (4 1/2 miles) from the institution.

Mom was aware that if her kids continued acting in this manner, they would be permanently removed from the bus.

Before that occurred, she made the decision to demonstrate to them what lifestyle would look like if they were unable to ride the bus to and from schools every day.

She then informed her two young kids that they would stroll to school the next day. All 7.2 km of it.

The following morning, she got the boys up early, covered herself in a blanket, and the three of them went for a stroll.

Before they began their journey, she snapped a picture of the kids carrying a placard. A sign reads:

“To our bus driver, we behaved badly and rudely. Mom is forcing us to move.

She posted the image to her Fb page and explained why she decided to punish herself in that way.

The post received many comments, and it spread like wildfire.

Numerous parents and other individuals praised the mother.

They believed the lads would have learnt a lesson as a result of the treatment and considered it to be a good idea.

The mother claimed that while her older kid simply needed to walk it once to pick it up, her younger son need two walks before truly understanding it.

However, several others criticised the mom. However, the majority of people did not fault her for the penalty itself.

Rather, they criticized her for posting it online. They said it wasn’t beneficial or good for the kids and was just a ploy to humiliate them.

It’s something to consider when we consider putting indications on children that tell what the poor behaviour is and positioning them so you can show their face and post it on social media, stated Tina.

She is a upervisor of community outreach for the Windsor-Essex Charity organisation Societal structure.

“I would not want to evaluate or assume to know the full details of this parent’s scenario, but it’s something to believe about,” she added.

Not only Children’s Aid, but all of us, would be concerned if kids were shamed. As grownups, we ought to be concerned.
