In 2015, she was told that she had been diagnosed with a different type of cancer. This time it was her throat, which led to her hearing loss in one ear. After severe treatment, she received the right to euthanasia in France. Currently, this procedure is not yet legalized in the country.
In the same interview, she revealed that her mother was also euthanized when she suffered from Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. This is a hereditary neurological disease that causes paralysis of the limbs.
