In winter, Natalie Hawkins sat in the kitchen with her sister and watched the sleep drag on outside.
She imagined how cold it is, because they are sitting in a warm house and they are not cold. Suddenly she imagined that person who does not have a home, how he sleeps on the street in a cold winter, and began to worry about him.
Recently, this guy’s family moved and left him, and he had to stay there alone and think for himself what to do and what to eat. This guy’s name was Kildey.
He lived in a small tent, but one day he found an abandoned van and moved there. He wanted at all costs to make this place at least somewhat comfortable for life, but it was very cold and uncomfortable.
Natalie was very worried about him and could not just look at him and do nothing. So she asked her son to find him and contact him somehow.
She knew that it was snowing outside and it must have been very cold for him to sleep outside. She decided to give the guy a chance and therefore created a page on a social network called Kildey. Some people donated some of their property or simply gave money, depending on what Kildey needed.
He was amazingly happy and so grateful that there is someone who wants to help him. He was especially grateful to Natalie, who invited him to live with her and adopted him.
He said it was great to have a warm home, a comfortable bed, and your own things. He never wanted people to know that he was homeless because a lot of people didn’t care.
He was very surprised to see how completely unfamiliar people wanted to help him and did everything that was necessary for him. They were very supportive and he learned that good people still exist.
Sometimes there are people who look after or help the homeless living on the street.
There have been many such cases recently, for example, David McDonald also met with Kim Korme, with whom they became good friends. He helped her find work and housing.
They invited him to dinner with his family and together they raised money for him to buy a new house. He was so grateful to them, it’s a wonderful feeling!
