One day, Courtney Johnson went to her son’s school and saw him among the others. Peter immediately padded the car and got into it. She asked him how the day went and he said that everything was fine, except that he was terribly hungry. He asked his mother to go to McDonald’s.
Mom was very surprised that he did not eat at school, and then she thought that he was lying that fast food was sung there. She said that she would go and ask their teacher why they didn’t eat at school, and Peter said that they all ate except him, because he gave his food to a classmate.
Courtney said that everyone brings their own food to school, it was surprising that the boy was hungry and gave his food to another. Peter told that a classmate has problems at home and he doesn’t eat anything at home because they don’t have money.
Because of this, he eats the leftovers after others so that no one sees him. But he is the only one to whom the boy told about his problem. So the boy decided to give his lunch to him so that he would not be hungry, because that day there were no leftovers.
Courtney was so happy to know that her boy is so kind and helped a classmate when he was hungry. They ate and returned home, after which she decided to call the class teacher and ask about that boy.
She told her that she had learned from Peter that they were having financial problems. The teacher said that Aiden (boy’s name) is very talented, but there are some problems in their family, for example, his parents have relationship problems.
The woman asked for forgiveness that she was asking about him specifically to her, but she would like to know what is going on with them in order to help.
The teacher said that they are divorced and the mother takes care of Aiden herself, which is very difficult for her. And besides all this, she is sick and cannot work normally …
Courtney became very sad about this story and told the situation at school that his son shared his food with him. She really wanted to help them and asked to arrange a meeting for parents so that she could help her.
She thanked her and looked forward to meeting the woman. When the parents came to the meeting with the teacher, she told them about the situation without giving the child’s name.
They all listened in silence, and at the end one of the parents asked why she was telling them this and what they could do for this, if the parent does not feed the child, then let him not send him to school.
The teacher said that she asked them to be generous with the boy. One of the parents said that whoever thought to help him, let him help him and pay for his food. They asked who was the one who wanted to help him and the teacher said she couldn’t say his name.
Then Courtney got to her feet and said that this is his son, and the parents do not understand the situation at all, which is so important. She said that no one realizes how important this is and it’s just awful!
Aiden’s mother was also at the meeting, sitting in the corner and hiding her tears when she realized that it was about his son. The same man said that he was not going to help and let her help him herself.
She replied that it would be so, but before that she told the whole situation in the boy’s family and said that the child remained hungry and his life was ruined due to problems in the family. Courtney told them to imagine that they themselves were in such a situation and asked them all to understand.
A boy at school is waiting for someone to finish eating to eat leftovers and it’s not fair! She said that their children are more fair and understanding than their parents!
Courtney said that at the moment they have two options: either help their family, or endanger their lives and their dignity. She simply asked them to help and contribute at least a small amount for them.
Courtney opened her wallet, pulled out $200, and placed it on the table. Her parents applauded her after a long silence and also put money on the table.
Of course, there were parents who simply left the room. Courtney was about to get into the car when Aiden’s mom approached her and thanked her for her help.
She said that she had no money for food and Courtney said that everything was fine. After a few days Peter came home very happy and said that he had very good news.
He revealed that Aiden started eating with them and told everyone that it was Courtney’s idea. The boy was so happy and said that she is the perfect mother! Courtney smiled at him and said it was great news, she was overjoyed that Aiden was happy!
