Monty has spent seven years in kennels and still no one wants to adopt him

At a rescue center in Edenbridge, England, Monty is described as one of the “most neglected dogs in the country”.

For the past 7 out of eight years, Monty has actually spent his life in rescue operations. Finally, the staff at Opportunity Pet Rescue can’t understand why Monty hasn’t found his eternal home yet.

Monty spent the first year of his life in a small cage. By the time he arrived to help he was hunched over and also worried about trust due to the abuse and had forgotten he had suffered so early in life.

Poor Monty has a hunched back, which vets say was caused by his previous owners keeping him in a cage that was too small for him for a long time!

Monty really likes to focus and cuddle with the rescue group, but he hasn’t paid much attention to other animals in the past. Instead, he barked as he approached them.

Monty will certainly do better in a home where there are no other pet dogs and with someone who can continue his training. He’s an energetic dog and he also likes to run, as well as chase tennis balls – he just doesn’t return them.

So he needed a family that would be ready to provide him with comfortable conditions.
