When Animal Aid Unlimited in India recently found out that a sick puppy was in the barn, they immediately rushed to rescue her.
She was too weak to move, but surprised them when she tried to wag her tail as they approached.
At the sound of their voices, the dog found some strength to wag her tail, and her black button eyes told them everything they needed to know. They soon named him Cotton.
This darling had probably suffered from scabies for most of her short life, and the scabies were winning: she collapsed into a corner of the barn and would never get up again if rescuers had not arrived in time.
They could understand that Cotton needed immediate medical attention.
She needed urgent help, otherwise she would have died. They rushed her to the hospital and put her on an intravenous drip to hydrate and nourish her.
By morning she was a little better, and we began to treat the infected ulcers and scabies. her transformation is truly magnificent.
