There are many owls in Idaho, and one of them is the Great Horned Owl. These owls are distinguished by long feathers that resemble ears. They are commonly found throughout the state, but rarely near busy highways.

When spotted, the animal rescue service was immediately called to help center staff.

The FAI reports that traffic on this section of the highway is very congested, apparently it has been there for some time. When Sgt. Crapo came to the scene and stopped the march using his car.

When the owl was not in danger, he waited for a wildlife rescue volunteer to arrive.

A few minutes later the volunteer came and together they released the owl. He was then taken in for examination to ensure the animal was unharmed.

Then they had to release him. But before rescuing it, the sergeant was photographed with the bird, then the volunteer pulled the owl out of the way and let it go.

The police write that the people at PSI are happy to help anyone who needs help.
