These lions used to live in a circus. Now they were finally free and could feel the sun and the grass. They lived in very bad conditions and were subjected to abuse.
They were saved thanks to Animal Defenders International.They do an incredible job finding and rescuing animals that are kept illegally.They found many such circuses and closed them.
Circus animals are banned in countries, but many traveling circuses operate in remote areas and moved underground after the laws came into effect. ADI teams worked with government authorities to find and seize the animals․
They had to take the lions to distant places to place them in shelters.They have been working for more than a year and have already saved the lives of thirty-three lions.
These poor animals have been suffering for many years. Fortunately, they are now in their homeland, Africa.Unfortunately, these animals can no longer live in the wild. However, they were very happy that they were finally free.
