The boy goes to the shelter and adopts the oldest dog, making him the happiest

Shay, a 14-year-old poodle, was cast by the Iowa Animal Rescue League last November. His family moved and unfortunately could not take him with them.

The puppy had a problem with his teeth, which meant he only had one tooth that wasn’t rotten and hadn’t been neutered.

On top of that, he was also deaf and half-blind.

Shay waited four months at the orphanage for someone to adopt her, but every potential family passed by without adopting her. But everything changed with Tristan, a little boy who wanted a dog to cuddle and play with.

The shelter staff immediately thought of Shay, who was very fond of interacting with people and was very good at communicating with people.

As soon as Shay was put on Tristan’s lap, the puppy’s face lit up, and Shay was clearly very happy and relaxed.

When the staff listed Shay’s special needs so Tristan knew what to expect, he listened carefully and even pulled out an app on his phone to record Shay’s vaccination and checkup dates.

Since then, Shay has had a wonderful life.

He has a special place in Tristan’s room, even if he prefers to be in Tristan’s arms!
