It all happened in the forests of Estonia during some military exercises,when soldier was called in to help a furry creature in a very hard situation.
It was there last week that the soldier with a name Prikko decided to go to the forest in search of what he called an “alternative bath.”
But then another call from nature took him.
At first it reminded him of a dog, but he soon realized it was a little moose which was trying to tell him something or ask for some help.
The calf was alone there. Not wanting to bother the moose even more, The soldier decided to sit down calmly, hoping that the little one would return to his mom.
But something amazing happened instead.
She walked slowly towards the soldier. At first he was quite scared, but after a while he got used to the boy and went closer.
He realized that this poor moose calf considered the soldier as his mother.
The soldier decided to call their veterinarian to inform of what had happened.
According to Prikko, a veterinarian was sent there with a bottle of milk to feed the moose if the mother did not return.
It was difficult to leave the little calf alone there, but it worked out.
Prikko and his unit did their best not to disturb the animal as the calf’s mother could be scared.
And, of course, after hearing a call at night, the soldier woke up and saw that the calf was gone.
They noticed very fresh and big footprints, which showed that the little calf had been saved by his mother.
Eventually, everything went as planned. As a soldier, Prikko took it as his duty to protect the animals too, and he did a great job.
