When you can’t teach your old dog new tricks, start training the cat!
This clever tortoiseshell cat named Alexis has set the record for the most tricks performed by a cat in a minute.
Cats are certainly intelligent pets, even if most of the time they seem to have more important things to do than listen to their humans.
Alexis the world-record tortoiseshell is one of the cleverest.
Her owner, Anika Moritz, has been training Alexis for quite some time. It takes a lot of patience to train a cat, even one as eager to please as Alexis is.
Together, they developed a special sign language to indicate what Alexis should do.
Through their work together all of these years, they’ve learned a very special set of tricks that Alexis is eager to perform for treats. From ringing a bell to unrolling a mat, Alexis can do it all.
Recently, she set the Guinness World Record for ‘the most tricks performed by a cat in one minute’.
That’s a lofty goal, considering cats in general aren’t prone to doing things on anyone else’s timetable.
Alexis and Anika certainly have a special bond, and they work flawlessly together.
Alexis enjoys her treats for sure, but she is willing to put up with her human’s requests in order to get them.
She’s so cute!
