When a teenager applies to colleges, he learns that he has been a “missing person” for 12 years

LIFE STORIES

In August 2002, a little child vanished from his home in Alabama.

Julian’s mom filed a missing persons report after receiving a message from his dad claiming to have abducted the small youngster.

He reportedly remained to reside with his biological father in Ohio after 12 years, where he was reputedly pleased, joyful, and regular.

He altered the name of his father and took on a false persona.

His mother never wavered in her belief that she will one day be reunited with her kid despite the influx of hundreds of leads over the years.

All of the leads, unfortunately, proved out to be bogus. That continued until he was 18 and started submitting college applications.

When he realized that his identification number didn’t quite fit his name, the truth started to come to light.

He contacted a school counselor for assistance in filling out his paperwork after becoming perplexed by the reported discrepancy in his personal information.

The counselor learned that the National Organization for Missing and Abused Children had categorized Julian as missing.

He learned that his own father had abducted him when he was a little child.

His mother was reportedly overjoyed to find out that her kid was still alive and well, according to the police.

He pleaded with the judge to spare his father from prison, saying he had pardoned him, in a touching turn of events.

He said it was challenging growing up without a mother, but he added that “removing him from me implies doing the same thing over yet again.”
