When she performed on America’s Got Talent as a cancer survivor at the age of sixteen in 2016, Caly Bevier made a big impression on the audience.
She had a rare stage 3 ovarian cancer diagnosis when she was just 15 years old, but she battled the illness valiantly and finally beat it.
The emotional rendition of Rachel’s “Fight Song” that she gave throughout the competition won her Simon’s 1st Golden Buzzer award.
Caly returned to America’s Got Talent six years later to perform in the All-Stars competition in an effort to advance her career as a touring musician.
The juges, who included Simon Cowell, praised her rendition of the original song “Head Held High” highly.
Simon was astounded by her progress as he thought back to when they first met.
He wishes he could have given her a peek of her success in the future, telling her, “You’re going to be healthy, you’re going to be smart, and you’re going to be a wonderful composer, all those things.
Since that actually did happen. It’s wonderful!
Caly’s experience serves as an example of the strength of tenacity and willpower.
She has inspired audiences all across the world with her skill and unshakeable passion.
